Medium range weather forecast and kharif crops

After the onset of monsoon on 20th June 2022, the rainfall received mostly in scattered rainfall in Tikamgarh district of Bundelkhand  Agro-climatic zone of Madhya Pradesh.  After the onset of monsoon farmers have sown their kharif crops in view of fairly widespread rainfall forecast, but not yet received the widespread or heavy rainfall. The crops after germination show the water stress effect, due of sunny weather and high temperature. The intermittent gap in receiving the rainfall has also created the early signal of water stress or deficit.

The weather scientists and farmers are still have hope for a heavy and widespread rainfall during this week. During the week, if this region doesn’t received widespread or heavy rainfall than it could be adverse impact on kharif crop growth and development. This could initiate a early drought situation in this zone.
